Google Cloud makes Model Armor v3 Stable

Google Cloud promoted Model Armor filter version v3 to Stable on August 31, moving v1 and v2 to Legacy with retirement set for November 29, 2026. Google’s version-lifecycle documentation gives teams 90 days to migrate templates pinned to Legacy versions; templates using the Stable alias move automatically, while fixed-version templates retain unchanged behavior. Operators should inventory pinned templates before the retirement date, then choose whether stable auto-updates or fixed behavior matters more; the paper’s machine-readable supply-chain finding makes the same provenance trade-off visible elsewhere.
