Runway's Solaris tests generated interfaces at 720p
Runway introduced Solaris, an Interface World Model that generates interactive interfaces frame by frame at a stated 720p target. In Runway’s Solaris research report, 250 participants preferred Solaris over a coded interface in 61% of instruction-following comparisons and 71% of natural-behavior comparisons across nearly 7,500 pairwise judgments; access remains request-only. For builders, this is a research signal—not a reason to replace deterministic UI: Runway still lists legible text, long-session coherence, trust, and accessibility as open problems, making world-model simulation research the safer near-term frame.
