AIR emerges with $50M for an agent firewall
AIR Security emerged from stealth with a $50 million seed round led by Sequoia Capital and Greenoaks, according to Calcalist’s report on the financing. The company is building a real-time context firewall that inventories and filters skills, plugins, MCP servers, websites, and internal data before they influence an agent; AIR says it found more than 17,800 public add-ons tied to 6.7 million installations in one supply-chain study, while its product description explains the control surface. That makes it a security fact to file beside the site’s analysis of agent firewalls and Promptfoo: builders should inventory agent add-ons now, but wait for independent false-positive and block-rate evidence before treating a new firewall as a procurement standard.
