Transfyr launches with $25M for physical science

Transfyr launched with $25 million in seed funding to turn hands-on laboratory work into machine-readable data for reproducibility and physical AI, the company’s announcement says. Founded by former Ginkgo Bioworks AI executive Anna Marie Wagner and former ARPA-H director Renee Wegrzyn, the startup says its sensor stack will capture operator actions, environmental context, equipment telemetry, and supply-chain conditions. Builders should file it beside the physical-AI funding boom’s shift toward deployment: the scarce asset may be execution data that makes experiments transferable, not another general model.
