Lasso ships CPU guardrails with $30M round
Lasso Security launched LEAP, a transformer-free guardrail that it says runs on ordinary CPUs with decisions in under five milliseconds, alongside a $30 million ClearSky-led funding round, according to the company’s launch announcement. The platform pairs fast inline screening with RAPID for harder policy judgments, a tiered design that echoes the archive’s case for treating agent security as an engineering control. Operators should file the number as a cost signal: continuous guardrails need not put a GPU in front of every request, but vendor accuracy claims still need independent replay tests before production trust.
