Broadcom AI chips hit $16.7B in quarterly sales

Broadcom says its custom AI accelerators and networking drove $16.7 billion of AI-semiconductor revenue in fiscal Q3, up 221% year over year, in its third-quarter results. Management expects the line to reach $21.7 billion in Q4, but that is guidance—not a booked order—and the release gives no customer-level concentration. For infrastructure buyers, the signal is supplier specialization: benchmark custom silicon and networking together before treating a GPU quote as the full rack decision; Nvidia’s expanding rack-level control is the adjacent concentration risk.
