Resect AI launches with $25M for model accountability

Resect AI emerged from stealth on September 3 with $25 million from private-equity investors to build an accountability layer that detects hallucinations and modifies model behavior. In its launch announcement, the company says forthcoming open-source and enterprise products will observe, detect, interpret, audit, and modify LLM behavior, with the funding supporting research, go-to-market work, and hiring in Seattle and Portland. The pitch belongs in the same file as OpenAI’s Astra access gate: reliability controls are becoming a product budget, not a disclaimer. Operators should look for independent evidence that Resect’s interventions improve factual accuracy without breaking useful behavior before putting them in a production path.
