DeepSeek reportedly plans to deploy at least 160,000 Huawei Ascend 950DT accelerators at a roughly one-gigawatt Inner Mongolia data center, according to CNBC TV18’s account of Bloomberg’s reporting. The report says the chips are intended mainly for inference and delivery could take more than a year because of production and memory constraints; neither DeepSeek nor Huawei confirmed the order.
