Anthropic walks away from Decart deal

Anthropic has walked away from a reported $6 billion acquisition of Decart after completing due diligence, while the two companies may still collaborate, The Next Web reports citing Bloomberg. Decart’s chip-optimization stack was reportedly the strategic prize: the abandoned deal would have paid about a 50% premium to its roughly $4 billion valuation from May. Operators should file this as a capital-discipline signal, not a technology verdict; Anthropic’s compute strategy still depends on making scarce capacity serve more demand, whether it buys that capability or partners for it.
