Motional opens 20,000 AV edge cases

Motional released nuReasoning with 20,000 long-tail autonomous-driving scenarios, more than 105 hours of edge-case video, and 247,000 human-verified reasoning annotations. Motional’s dataset announcement says the release covers spatial, decision, and counterfactual reasoning from fleet data and will support a 1,000-scenario private test at the ECCV challenge. For robotics teams, this is a data-and-evaluation signal rather than a deployment result; compare edge-case reasoning against the archive’s physical-AI funding analysis before treating another driving demo as production evidence.
