Thailand sets a September 12 data-center check

Thailand’s Public Works Department will finish checking operating data centers by September 12, and facilities with at least 10,000 square meters face stricter fire-safety rules and mandatory building inspectors. Thai PBS reports that the ministry is drafting zoning and building controls for large facilities and can order unsafe sites to fix problems or stop use. For AI-infrastructure teams, Thailand’s buildout now needs permit, safety, and community-impact diligence alongside megawatt reservations; NERC’s grid-behavior rules show the same shift from capacity to verifiable operating behavior.
