US agencies flag industrial AI model distillation

NSA, CISA, and FBI say six China-based AI companies extracted billions of tokens across millions of exchanges from US frontier models since at least late 2024. In the joint cybersecurity advisory, the agencies call for stronger provider telemetry, targeted response controls, and cross-organization intelligence sharing; these remain government allegations, not an independent adjudication by the named companies.
