NVIDIA targets 2GW of Australian AI capacity
NVIDIA says Australian cloud and data-center partners are targeting up to 2 gigawatts of AI-factory capacity by 2027, including Sharon AI’s planned 68,000 GPUs and IREN’s 800-megawatt Bundey campus. NVIDIA’s infrastructure announcement names eight partners and frames the buildout as local training and inference access, not delivered power. Builders comparing sovereign compute should put Sharon AI’s 150,000-GPU plan in the same column: announced gigawatts are options until energization, GPU deployment, and customer workloads arrive.
