Positron funds a $5B inference-silicon bet

Positron AI announced an $875 million Series C at a $5 billion post-money valuation, funding its Asimov inference silicon, a 2 MW-plus engineering data center, and Titan production ramp, according to the financing announcement. The company says Asimov tapes out on TSMC N3P late in 2026 and enters production in the second half of 2027, while its Atlas system is already deployed in more than 50 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure racks. For builders, inference hardware is becoming a capex-per-megawatt choice, but this is funded roadmap capacity—not shipped silicon.
