Blaxel joins Baseten for an agent cloud
Blaxel is joining Baseten to combine stateful agent execution with model inference; its microVM sandboxes claim 25-millisecond suspend-and-resume and up to 5× the speed of competing sandbox products, according to Blaxel’s announcement. The post says Sapiom already runs hundreds of millions of agent loops on Blaxel, while the product and support team remain unchanged for now. Builders evaluating agent harness runtimes should file this as stack consolidation—not proof that a single vendor will win their latency, isolation, and portability trade-offs.
