Mecka nears $500M valuation for robot data
Mecka AI, which pays people to record everyday physical tasks for humanoid-robot training, is nearing a Sequoia-led round at about a $500M valuation, just three months after announcing $60M from Framework Ventures, TechCrunch reports. The new round’s size and terms are not final; Mecka had projected a $100M annual run rate by the end of 2026, so this is a bet on scarce physical-world data rather than proof of shipped robot capability. The $30-per-hour supervised humanoid pilot shows why operators should file the financing as a data-collection signal and keep autonomy claims separate from funding momentum.
