Cognichip puts chip design on a commercial AI stack
Cognichip says its ACI Enterprise chip-design platform is now commercially available after deployment across more than 40 customer engagements, including Renesas and SiTime. In its launch announcement, the company says one engineer processed a 55-page ASIC specification—from micro-architecture through RTL, verification, and power-performance-area optimization—in a few days, versus roughly four to five months traditionally; those are company-reported results, not an independent benchmark. The release gives chip teams another bounded AI-EDA workflow to test, but Nvidia’s agentic chip-design stack remains a useful reminder to measure verified artifacts, tool hours, and escaped defects rather than prose speed.
