Temporal raises $550M for reliable agent infrastructure

Temporal announced a $550 million Series E at a $12.55 billion valuation as customers ask its workflow platform to run agents for days, weeks, or months. The company says August volume reached 1.9 trillion billable actions, up more than 350% year over year, across more than 4,300 paying customers; those are company-reported figures. Builders should file the raise as evidence that durable orchestration is becoming infrastructure rather than glue code, much as stateless MCP is making agent infrastructure easier to scale.
