Bell plans a 1.2GW AI hub in Saskatchewan
Bell Canada and Saskatchewan signed a non-binding memorandum that would add up to 900 MW to Bell AI Fabric, creating a path to a 1.2 GW Canadian AI hub. Bell’s announcement says full buildout could exceed $50 billion and depends on customer commitments, commercial agreements, permits, approvals, and environmental assessments; Canada’s release frames it as sovereign infrastructure. Builders should file this beside the site’s power-grid analysis of AI data centers: announced gigawatts are options on power, not delivered compute, until those gates clear.
