G5 Labs raises $14M for intent-based software
G5 Labs, an MIT CSAIL spinout, emerged from stealth with $14 million in seed funding to make a formal intent graph—not raw generated code—the abstraction layer for AI-native software, its announcement says. The company says its compiler can translate natural-language requirements to code and back, while tracing code to the intent behind it; those are product claims, not independent evidence of shipped reliability. Teams drowning in AI-generated diffs should file G5’s ontology-first approach beside Sourcegraph’s outcome-priced agentic code changes as another bet on moving review above lines of code.
