Arcee AI crosses $1B after $20M model build

Arcee AI’s Series B values the open-model company at more than $1 billion, after it says its entire 2025 Trinity lineup—including the 400-billion-parameter Trinity Large—cost approximately $20 million to build. Arcee’s financing announcement says the undisclosed round will fund next-generation Trinity models, work with the U.S. Department of Energy and its 17 national laboratories, and products for customizing and operating open models. Builders considering self-hosted models should file the financing beside the archive’s local open-model inference analysis: open weights remove vendor lock-in, not memory and serving costs.
