Causilo leads single-model TabArena at 1,792.9 Elo

Nums AI released Causilo, a pretrained tabular model whose open repository reports a top single-model Elo of 1,792.9 on TabArena’s 51-dataset, 816-full-split evaluation. The project README says Causilo also leads classification at 1,771.8 and regression at 2,032.6, but the maintainer comparison excludes systems and the weights require a separate commercial license even though code is Apache-2.0. Data teams should benchmark it against their own tables before adopting the “foundation model” label, using the site’s prior TabPFN acquisition analysis as context for why tabular AI is becoming strategic.
