Anthropic opens verified biology access

Anthropic opened its beta Life Sciences Verification Program, with 30-day data retention for flagged-activity monitoring and a plan to enroll hundreds of organizations in its first week. The program announcement says vetted teams can receive Standard Use grants for Mythos, Opus and Sonnet, while High-risk Use is project-specific, renewed every six months, and subject to extra review; all other safeguards, including cyber classifiers, remain. Biology builders should treat broader model access as a governance contract—credential review, oversight, and incident response are part of the product—alongside the archive’s clinical-evidence gate for AI biology.
