Base Labs builds safety into open-weight models

Baseten’s Base Labs joined Hugging Face and Goodfire AI on an open-weight-model safety partnership as Hugging Face lists more than 6,000 abliterated models. TechCrunch reports that the partners plan transparent evaluation and monitoring methods, but have not disclosed how the system will work.
