Google finds 94% of teens used AI

Google’s U.S. Future Report found 94% of surveyed teens had used AI in the past year, with 74% using it weekly or more as an interactive study partner. The Google study is based on more than 1,000 teens ages 13–17 and reports homework research as the top use at 61%, ahead of everyday questions at 52%. Builders targeting young users should treat AI literacy and source-checking as product requirements, not onboarding copy, much as Google’s cheaper Gemini rollout changed the consumer price baseline.
