Cua open-sources a 706K form-filling model

Cua has open-sourced CUA-S1-FORMS, a 706,048-parameter, 2.8 MB model that scores form actions in one pass instead of generating text. Its Hugging Face model card reports 99.95% on a form-disjoint synthetic test and 100% on a 196-decision real-form demo, while warning that the checkpoint was trained on synthetic data plus that small demo and is not validated on arbitrary forms; the Cua repository puts execution in application code and Cua Driver. For builders, this is a useful reminder that bounded decisions can be a tiny local model, but its ceiling is the workflow’s label vocabulary—not general computer use—so compare it against your own forms before routing production actions through it. The consent budget for cheaper coding-agent builds makes the same permission boundary explicit.
