MitoSpace maps 40,000 4D cell movies
UC San Diego researchers trained MitoSpace on 40,000 4D movies from cells treated with 25 compounds, and it grouped drug responses with 75% accuracy versus 56% for flat 2D images, Phys.org reports. The result sits alongside two Cell studies, including a physics-based digital twin that reproduced mitochondrial responses without retuning. Drug-discovery teams should file this as a data-and-validation signal, not a drop-in lab replacement, alongside Faraday’s replication test for AI scientists.
