Korean AI bids hit an H100 capacity wall

South Korean startups are abandoning AI bids because they cannot secure or price GPUs: Seoul Economic Daily reports global H100 rental prices rose 43.6% to $2.80 an hour by late August, from $1.95 in the first quarter of last year. The story says small firms sought quotes from eight Korean GPU-as-a-service providers and still could not lock capacity for a government-affiliated AI transformation project. Builders should price committed inference capacity before bidding, not after; Broadcom’s AI supply forecast shows why supplier guidance cannot substitute for delivery evidence.
