MiniMax Code opens three terminal paths

MiniMax open-sourced MiniMax Code’s terminal coding agent under an MIT license, with 3 entry points: an interactive TUI, headless execution for scripts and CI, and Agent Client Protocol support for editor clients. The official repository and CLI documentation also support MiniMax accounts and bring-your-own model providers, while the desktop application remains separate. Teams testing another coding agent can run it against a disposable repo and compare permission prompts, model routing, and instruction behavior with the archive’s desktop-agent approval check before allowing production access.
