Texas halts data-center permits for audit

Texas has halted all data-center permits while an audit covers more than 400 projects. Governor Greg Abbott’s directive tells TCEQ to issue no permits until ERCOT completes its review, extending the state’s earlier interconnection gate to environmental authorizations.
