Alibaba plans 5–10T model alongside V900 chip

Alibaba says its upcoming Qwen 4.5 and Qwen 5 series could scale to 5–10 trillion parameters, while its new Zhenwu V900 accelerator claims 3× the performance of its predecessor and is scheduled for commercial release in Q1 2027. Alibaba’s Apsara roadmap also targets more than 20 GW of global data-center capacity by 2032; the Jakarta Post’s report puts today’s Qwen 3.8 Max at 2.4 trillion parameters. Operators should file this as a capacity roadmap, not a shipped model, and read it beside Alibaba’s AI-capex pace before treating parameter scale as available supply.
