Google offers 100,000 AI-skills scholarships
Google is providing 100,000 AI-skills scholarships across more than 80 countries through the ITU AI Skills Coalition. Its announcement of the scholarship program says the partner-led offer complements more than 200 courses and targets students, teachers, job seekers, entrepreneurs, small-business owners, and civil servants; participating governments and organizations will shape access around local workforce priorities. For operators, this is a supply-side signal: AI adoption programs will increasingly compete on workforce enablement, so budget for role-specific training instead of treating model access as the whole deployment plan; the site’s evidence gap around AI-worker costs is a useful caution against assuming certificates become productivity.
