AI agent traffic grows 7,851%

HUMAN says traffic from AI agents and agentic browsers grew 7,851% year over year in its 2026 benchmark, built from more than one quadrillion observed interactions. The HUMAN report also says monthly AI-driven traffic rose 187% during 2025 and that more than 95% of it clustered in retail, media and travel; the data comes from HUMAN’s aggregated customer base, not the whole web. Commerce teams should stop treating automation as a binary bot flag and measure intent before AI search turns distribution into a paid operating channel.
