Rocket puts mainframe agents behind PlanGuard
Rocket Software announced PlanGuard for EVA 2.0, a policy checkpoint that can permit, deny or require approval before a mainframe agent executes an action. Rocket’s launch coverage says one South American bank took about three weeks to investigate a production issue before EVA found a probable cause in less than a day, while Rocket estimates a 3.2x annual return on investment; both are vendor or pilot claims. Mainframe operators should pilot investigation before granting execution, keeping RACF, ACF2 or Top Secret as underlying controls; agent-evaluation controls at the action boundary show why permission gates belong at action time.
