Akamai Signs $11.6B Anthropic Cloud Commitment

Akamai and Anthropic announced an $11.6 billion contractual cloud commitment over seven years, with an option to expand the relationship by another $9 billion, in Akamai’s announcement of the deal. Akamai says the commitment supports Anthropic’s growing CPU workload, while its own estimate puts related capital expenditures at about $5.5 billion and the attached warrant at up to roughly 5% of Akamai’s common stock.
