Basalt raises $20M for post-acute-care AI

Basalt Health raised a $20 million Series A on September 24; its AI referral platform cut Lifepoint’s median chart-processing time from 8.5 minutes to 1.2, an 86% reduction, the company says. The financing will fund expansion across 62 ScionHealth hospitals and 49 Lifepoint markets by year-end. Operators can file it beside Ema’s accepted-outcome denominator: workflow AI earns scale when measured time savings survive local review, not when a vendor counts deployments.
