Mitsubishi maps 800VDC to Rubin AI factories
Mitsubishi Electric released Chip-to-Grid reference designs for NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 that combine on-site generation and battery storage with both 415/480VAC and 800VDC distribution. The company’s September 24 announcement also describes dual-loop cooling and says the designs can scale toward gigawatt-class data centers. The release is an architecture signal, not proof of available capacity: builders should price power, cooling, and grid-interconnection assumptions against the $40 million-per-megawatt Rubin build math.
