AlloyDB gives agents isolated PostgreSQL
Google Cloud put PostgreSQL for agents in AlloyDB into preview, with agent nodes designed to scale from a few agents to millions and from 0 to thousands of serverless database instances. Its announcement describes sandboxed, read-only instances with up-to-the-second production data, isolated from primary, standby, and read replicas, and provisioning in seconds. Builders should treat this as a data-plane isolation primitive, not permission to point agents at production: the archive’s agent-history storage analysis shows why state, cost, and recovery boundaries still need explicit measurement.
