Scholar Education raises $2M for special-ed AI
Scholar Education announced a $2 million seed round to extend its AI special-education platform from classroom tools into evaluations, family support, and clinical and educational services, according to the funding announcement. The Tampa company says its BaxterBot and PAWfessor Bruce assistants serve more than 20,000 teachers and students, while families can face 12–18-month waits and $3,500–$5,000 evaluation costs. School buyers reviewing Microsoft’s school AI contract scope should treat this as an expansion signal, not clinical proof: privacy, accessibility, and evaluation controls still decide deployment.
