AWS adds seven tools to its shopping assistant
AWS added seven features to its Agentic Shopping Assistant, including cross-session memory, image and voice search, cart management, Shopify integration through UCP, and operational dashboards. AWS’s update says the solution uses Bedrock AgentCore memory with conversation history persisted in S3, runs in a retailer’s AWS account, and charges only for underlying AWS services rather than a separate packaged-software fee. Retailers weighing an agent-led storefront should read this as a deployable stack—not a free one: Amazon’s seller-assistant renewal baseline shows why usage, review, and retention costs still need a trial ledger before checkout automation.
