Lambda's Oklahoma AI campus carries a $500M tax estimate

Lambda says it will build an AI data center in Oklahoma’s MidAmerica Industrial Park, estimating $500 million in tax revenue over the next 10 years. In its September 27 announcement, Lambda says it will pay 100% of the facility’s energy costs, fund upfront infrastructure, and use closed-loop cooling; the tax figure is based on current rates, so it is a projection rather than a guaranteed return. Builders tracking AI’s data-center power bottleneck should file this as a siting pattern: new compute projects now need to price power and water obligations into the pitch.
