QUORRA X5 puts five LiDARs on mobility robot
QUORRA’s X5 physical-AI mobility robot debuted at REHACARE with five LiDAR sensors, front and rear cameras, and fused perception for 360-degree obstacle handling. The company’s September 26 release says the first mass-produced model can adjust speed and direction, stop within milliseconds, and use geofencing plus autonomous return-to-charge; those are product claims, not independent validation. Builders should file it beside Unitree’s robot economics benchmark as another signal that useful physical AI is arriving first as bounded mobility hardware, where sensor redundancy and safe-stop behavior matter more than general-purpose autonomy.
