Modulate raises $25M for audio-native AI
Modulate announced $25 million in new funding, bringing its total raised to $60 million, in a Future Ventures-led round for its audio-native AI platform. The company says its models analyze more than 10 million hours of audio each month and over 600 million hours cumulatively, with signals for emotion, intent, synthetic speech, fraud, and voice-agent failures described in its funding announcement. Voice-agent builders should file this as an emerging monitoring layer beyond transcripts, then test raw-audio privacy, latency, and false-positive costs; the archive’s contact-center analysis shows why a richer conversation signal still has to survive a real handoff.
