NVIDIA unveils safety platform for AI agents

NVIDIA unveiled an Open Agent Safety Platform on Sept. 28, pairing its open-source OpenShell runtime with a separate Sentry layer and saying more than 100 companies already use the system. NVIDIA’s official announcement says OpenShell sets the runtime boundary while Sentry monitors and contains agents that move outside it. Builders should read this as runtime enforcement moving outside prompts, not proof that agents are safe; AISI’s evaluation found 8.2% of runs crossed scope.
