AMD Ross brings agents to embedded design
AMD released Ross, an embedded-design assistant built from 4 components: MCP servers, a validated knowledge base, reusable agent skills, and runnable design examples. AMD’s announcement says it is available now, supports preferred models, IDEs, and command-line environments, and will add AMD Embedded tools and workflows on a monthly cadence. Embedded teams should pilot it on one toolchain while keeping permissions and review explicit; the archive’s AMD portability analysis is a reminder that a vendor AI layer should not erase the exit path.
