Gemini 4 Argon opens at $2/$10, but stays gated
Google announced Gemini 4 Argon with introductory API pricing of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, but is initially rolling it out only to trusted cyber defenders through its model announcement. The Fairwind program says more than 650 participating partners operate under access controls, while Argon is slated to reach paid API customers and Google AI Ultra subscribers after the early tester phase. Builders should file Argon as a controlled-preview price signal rather than a drop-in migration target, and pair any eventual test with the archive’s agent spending controls.
