JERA and Dell plan a 400MW AI campus
JERA, Dell Technologies and RHAELM signed an MoU for a Chiba AI-infrastructure project supported by up to 400 MW and more than $15 billion in expected capital deployment. JERA’s announcement says the project would sit behind the meter at an operating power station, with operations targeted around 2028; it is a plan, not a funded or permitted data center. Builders should file the siting model—not the headline capacity—as the useful fact: the archive’s grid-queue analysis explains why power access is becoming a compute product.
