GPT-6 brings interactive answers to ChatGPT

OpenAI began rolling out GPT-6 with Intelligent UI in ChatGPT on October 7, reporting that GPT-6 Instant starts answering web-search questions 44% sooner on average than GPT-5.6 Instant in its internal evaluation. Answers can include interactive forms, charts and small tools, with paid tiers receiving the rollout first and Free and Go scheduled to follow October 8. OpenAI says this update applies to ChatGPT’s Chat experience and leaves the models powering Work and Codex unchanged. For operators, our distinction between configured models and realized savings still applies: test the interface and answer quality independently of the vendor’s first-response timing claim.
