Microsoft ships three real-time voice models
Microsoft launched MAI-Transcribe-2-Streaming plus MAI-Voice-2.1 and MAI-Voice-2.1-Flash, giving voice-agent builders real-time transcription in 60 languages at an introductory $0.54 per audio hour through year-end. Microsoft’s launch note prices the higher-fidelity voice model at $22 per million characters and Flash at $15, with 23 languages, 26 locales, and claimed 150-millisecond end-to-end latency. The numbers are vendor benchmarks and introductory rates, so teams should test interruption handling and full-loop latency before swapping a production audio stack; the archive’s analysis of Microsoft’s in-house model push is the relevant baseline.
